These sourdough dinner recipes provide great options as the main dish or side course. Some recipes are time savers while others are worth the time putting them together. A delicious way to add more sourdough to your day!

Through time I have found the more I make sourdough, the more it becomes a staple in our day-to-day. Sometimes it makes it in our breakfast and other times as dessert. We can not get enough and I hope these recipes help you find more ways to implement sourdough in your routine.
Thank you for enjoying all the sourdough recipes here on the blog!
1. Sourdough Burger Sliders

Sourdough sliders come together quick with a few different tricks up your sleeve – like these sourdough rolls. Feel free to make a full pan of sourdough Hawaiian rolls or sourdough dinner rolls to make this recipe come together in a pinch. It is one of our top sourdough dinner recipes.
2. Air Fryer Tuna Cakes

These air fryer tuna cakes come together with the help of sourdough breadcrumbs. Simply mix together tuna, cheese, spices and breadcrumbs together before baking them up in the air fryer.
We like to eat them alone or with a bed of rice and vegetables. Do not forget the Sriracha mayo!
3. Sourdough English Muffin Sandwich

Sourdough English muffins are one of our favorite recipes to enjoy (and one of the best sellers in our local community!) and comes together in a flash. Grill up your sourdough English muffins, add an egg, sausage and cheese to the top before digging in.
4. Jalapeño Cheddar Grilled Cheese

We love a fresh loaf of jalapeno cheddar bread. And what better than to turn it into a grilled cheese sandwich with lunch meat, lots of cheese and pickles to go with it?
We also enjoy dunking the grilled cheese sandwich in a bowl of tomato soup. This recipe also comes together fast as we make the ‘easy’ version – with a large jar of canned tomatoes.
This is truly one of our meals which comes together in a flash.
5. Cheddar Garlic Scape Sourdough Rolls

There is nothing we enjoy more than pull apart sourdough dinner rolls as a side to any main meal. Simply fold in cheese and garlic scapes to the rolls before the second rise. Delicious!
6. Sourdough Hawaiian Rolls

If you like King Hawaiian rolls, make this homemade version with significantly less ingredients. These dinner rolls are some of our favorites to eat alone – or turn into a slider!
While these rolls are baked together, they pull apart nicely – giving everyone their own piece (no slicing necessary).
7. Chicken Pot Pie (with Sourdough Crust)

If you like sourdough pie crust, use it to make something savory instead of sweet – like this chicken pot pie.
And of course, if you are looking for a sweet recipe for sourdough pie crust – try this apple pie galette or a peach pie galette.
8. Sourdough Rolls (with Black Pepper and Rosemary)

Sourdough pull apart rolls are clearly a ‘must’ within our household. This recipe is our traditional sourdough dinner roll recipe with black pepper and rosemary added in. Add a dipping oil and you will be well onto your way to a delicious recipe.
9. Sourdough Mozzarella Cheese Sticks

These mozzarella sticks are a great side for any dinner. They are delicious dipped in marinara sauce or in ranch. They are a staple in our freezer for an easy sourdough appetizer – ready any time of the day.
10. Soft and Fluffy Sourdough Dinner Rolls

We love dinner rolls. They just taste so good in dipping oil (and vinegar)! Plus, they make the perfect addition to any family gathering (at any time of the year!). If you like dinner rolls, try out these cheddar garlic scape sourdough rolls. I can assure you they will be a hit!

11. Chicken and (sourdough) Dumplings

If you like a cozy dinner meal, sourdough chicken and dumplings are a must. The dumplings are made with fresh milled flour, the broth is homemade and the vegetables – frozen!
12. Sourdough Mac and Cheese Bites

If you have leftover Mac and cheese, try making these sourdough Mac and cheese bites. They are a great way to use leftover breadcrumbs and can be fried in an air fryer in a jiffy!
13. London Muffin

London Muffins are a delicious meal passed down from the diner my husband’s parents worked at. The base is an English muffin (which we upgraded into sourdough English muffins), a dab of mayo, turkey lunch meat, Swiss cheese, a tomato slice and green olives.
14. Sourdough Garlic Pull Apart Bread

Pull apart bread is such a simple crowd pleasing recipe. Each layer of this bread is dipped in oil and garlic spices before baking it and topping it with more butter before serving.
15. Sourdough Sheet Pan Pizza

If you like sourdough pizza crust, this version is a simple way to make one pizza everyone will enjoy. My kids love to put their own favorite toppings on ‘their’ section. It is one of the best ‘kid friendly’ sourdough recipes.
16. Sourdough Cheesy Pull Apart Bread

If you like pizza and you like mozzarella cheese – this bread may become your go to recipe! Each mozzarella bite is wrapped around with sourdough pizza crust and is truly delicious.
Dip the pieces in pizza dip, marinara sauce or ranch.
17. Sourdough Hawaiian Roll Sliders

Sourdough Hawaiian roll sliders are one of our go to recipes when we are in a pinch of time. Slice open the Hawaiian rolls, layer on turkey lunch meat, Swiss cheese and add a little mustard butter sauce with poppyseeds before baking.
18. Sourdough Pizza (Using Whole Wheat)

If you like your sourdough to last a little longer than a traditional pizza crust, add this whole wheat sourdough pizza crust to your routine. We like to top ours with bbq chicken or the classic pizza sauce and pepperoni.
This crust is not dense and the crust becomes golden brown when cooked within the cast iron skillet.
19. Sourdough Garlic Knots

Sourdough garlic knots might be one of the most underrated recipes. They have a double rise- which helps if you need some extra time to get ready for a gathering.
These are pull apart, therefore everyone will have their own and will be digging into the pillowy softness of each bite.
20. BBQ Chicken Pizza (on a sourdough crust)

This BBQ chicken pizza was inspired by our local restaurant which serves this masterpiece.
It has become a staple in our house. We like to use our favorite Traeger chicken breast recipe, fresh jalapeños, turkey bacon and red onion on ours.
21. Sourdough Bread (plain)

Sourdough bread is one of the easiest additions to dinner. Use it to make a variety of main dishes like meatball subs, as the bun for burgers or a grilled cheese sandwich. Or use it as a side – garlic bread, cheesy bread, or dip it in oil and vinegar.
22. Sourdough Cheesy Bread (Hungry Howie’s Dupe)

If you have ever enjoyed Hungry Howie’s bread, this recipe is made with all the things we love – including real butter (none of that imitation stuff).
If we ever have pizza crust leftover – this cheesy bread is the way to go.
23. Sourdough Pizza (made on a Traeger)

We like to take our sourdough pizza crust on the Traeger at times. There is not a lot of differences between cooking pizza on the Traeger vs. a cast iron skillet – but it does intensify the overall flavor.
And you get to cook multiple pizzas at once – which is an even better bonus to get everyone’s meal out at the same time.
24. Sourdough Breadsticks

One of our favorite sourdough dinner sides are breadsticks. They can be used for dipping in marinara or oil.
They remind us a lot of Little Caesar’s breadsticks – fluffy, cheesy, buttery and delicious.
